Hey there. You found Darkguild. Welcome.
Darkguild is an idea that hatched in my head a long time ago. It started in the wake of the Columbine tragedy. I kept thinking to myself that I could have helped—that if the individuals involved (who had been in the same Yahoo chat servers I frequented) had someone they could actually talk to about their feelings, things might have been different. Not some high-and-mighty college-graduate therapist, but someone who truly understood, someone to listen and let them know their feelings were valid, and that taking a gun and murdering people was never the answer.
I started a small website, recruited a few friends to hang around, and eventually, others found their way to us. It ran for about ten years, but as we all grew older, life intervened. Darkguild went quiet, and due to financial hardships, I eventually lost the domain name and the site.
Today, thanks to a small grant, we are back up and running. I hope that when the time comes, more funding will follow, but regardless, I will keep this community alive for as long as I can. The original Elders of the Darkguild community have moved on to busy lives and will hopefully trickle back in as we grow, but for now, I am holding down the fort solo.
Please bear with me while I get everything dialed in. I am working on it every day.
